A critical part of the Church's responsibility in this world is its caring, healing and compassionate service to others, reflecting the love and justice of God.
Examples of COL's local mission involvement include:
- Guadalupe -- clinic and church support.
- My Sister's Place -- a safe place for battered or abused women and their children.
- Christmas projects -- sharing with the needy.
- Food and hygiene kits* for the seriously mentally ill, distributed in cooperation with the local Mental Health Guild.

at the Presbyterian Health, Education, and Welfare Association celebration.
Care for others in a global perspective:
- More Light Presbyterians -- working for inclusivity and equality for all persons within the Presbyterian Church (USA), especially those who are gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered.
 Tabb staffs the MLP booth at the

- Heifer International -- providing farm animals worldwide.
- C.R.O.P. Walk -- annual walk to raise funds for the hungry.
- Special Designated Offerings -- for assistance worldwide administered through Presbyterian Church organizations.
- Presbyterian Health, Education and Welfare Association (PHEWA) -- promoting justice and development opportunities for all.
- Borderlinks -- a non-profit Christian organization on both sides of U.S./Mexican border seeking a just immigration policy and economically sound solutions to border issues.

1 Tempo (small pkg) 1 Pair Socks (new, white)
1 T-shirt or Knit Top 1 Bath Tissue
When available, other items include mouthwash, dental floss, shower cap, bath gel, sewing kits, other travel-size hygiene items.
